GMLLOA - Now Recruiting New Board Members
The GMLLOA is now accepting new applicants for two critical roles. As a member of the GMLLOA, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of your neighbours and the overall well-being of our community. Here are the open roles we are recruiting at our upcoming annual general meeting (AGM) on Monday, July 24th:
GMLLOA Secretary
Attend and participate in monthly meetings, adding your thoughts, voice, and vote to all agenda items
Answering any inquiries received through email or the web
Management of meeting agendas, including the AGM - writing, reviewing, sharing, etc.
Transcribing meeting minutes
Monitor new home/lot sales in the area and connect with new owners
Managing owner contact details in master spreadsheets
Work closely with the communications committee on web and email updates
Update newsletter
Support data collection and management for audit requirements

GMLLOA Road Chairman/Chairwoman
Attend and participate in monthly meetings, adding your thoughts, voice, and vote to all agenda items
Access the 32 km of roads for any repairs needed, downed trees, or signs missing (dedicated focus after a hurricane, rainstorm, windstorm, or snowstorm).
Respond to concerns or questions related to the roads.
General maintenance - cleaning up any downed trees, culverts, or ditches.
Inspect/clean out the culverts between Hidden Lake and Molega Lake monthly. and on Sunhaven where Beavers try to build a dam every two weeks.
Examine and process manage invoices for accuracy when received.
Update budget spreadsheet.
Prepare, present, and manage maintenance and capital projects
Liaise with the road, brushing, and snow removal contractor
Supervise and assess work completed by contractors
