  • Respect the quiet times as set out by the Region of Queens. No loud noise between the hours of 12:00 AM and 7 AM preferably.

  • Respect your neighbour’s privacy and property. Remember that those who choose to live in cottage country do so because they enjoy the serenity and peacefulness; and, those who have cottages here come to them for the same reasons.

  • Respect the wildlife here as this is their home too.

  • Designated beach areas are for swimming, sunning and picnicking. Absolutely no motorized vehicles should be on the beaches.

  • The posted speed limit on our private roads is 35 KM. There are often people and children walking on the roads or on bicycles in the summer, so extra caution is required from anyone operating a motorized vehicle of any kind.

  • Respect your environment. Make sure garbage is disposed of at designated garbage bins. Everyone should have their sewage pumped regularly as septic dumping in the woods is strictly forbidden by the Dept. of the Environment.

  • Designated boat launches are there for your convenience when putting your boat in and taking it out only. No parking areas are provided there, so please arrange to move your vehicle and trailer once the boat is launched.

  • Whenever possible, get to know your neighbours. Most people out here are always willing to lend a hand when needed. Also, it is comforting to know that there might be someone close by who can keep an eye on your property for you when you can’t be there.

  • Contact your designated chapter director if you have any concerns or questions. They will try to help or point you in the right direction.
